How To Occupy The City With Community Based Network Marketing

One of the biggest problems for network marketers starting a business is the overwhelm factor. That is, they have to be five or six professions in one and the truth is, most people simply don’t have the skill.
Let’s examine the conundrum facing network marketers and then offer the solution. Here’s the downside. A new person starting a network marketing business today has to be:
- salesperson
- marketer and promoter
- motivator
- recruiter
- customer support
- mentor
- lead generator
Can you see the problem here? For a start, less than ten per cent of people like to sell. The remainder detest it.
In fact, it’s the one area of network marketing that leads to the syndrome called paralysis analysis. The thought of getting on the phone and speaking with a total stranger about a business opportunity literally freaks most people out.
Community Based Network Marketing
So what’s the answer? Well, in a nutshell, community based network marketing. The concept is starting to create plenty of interest within the industry as more and more people look for ways to avoid certain aspects of running an MLM business.
What is community based network marketing? The short answer is, it’s a community of like-minded business people all striving for the same goal.
Whether it be an income target for the group, a member target or simply pulling together lead generation sources and avenues, the fact is, it has a very appealing aspect to it for many MLMers.
Now if you’re thinking “hey, this sounds to good to be true and I’m going to get involved and get other people to build my business for me” think again. Community based networking groups have a strict qualification criteria.
They are only interested in serious players. People need to go through several stages of interviews before they join. In fact, there is a commitment requirement that has to be met such as dedicating a certain amount of hours per week to the business.
But once someone clears these commitments, the process is definitely worth being involved with. The structure has network marketers assigned to certain roles. For example, if you are comfortable and good with people on the phone then that will be your area of expertise.
If you have good marketing ability and know how to attract prospects in a targeted fashion, then that’s the role you’ll be offered. And if you have good mentoring or coaching abilities, then yes, you’ll fill those roles.
Better still, leads work on a rotation basis and are shared evenly among active members. The knowledge that when a lead comes into the funnel and lands in your lap and someone with expert contact abilities is on the job interviewing and recruiting the prospect, is usually a huge relief for many network marketers within a community based network marketing system.
With attraction marketing becoming the buzz phrase within the industry today, the training level for members in this area is comprehensive, especially on how to implement internet network marketing into an MLMers repetoire.

What Happens When a Network Marketer Shifts the Focus

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Let me guess - you are tired of going nowhere in your network marketing/mlm business, having no quality leads and no cash flow? You have read Ann Sieg’s e-book The Renegade Network Marketer and decided to bring your network marketing business online and start applying Internet attraction marketing methods in order to generate your own mlm leads and never again desperately scratch your head when you run out of warm or cold market names lists?

Sounds great! But while reading The Renegade Network Marketer you also noticed that Ann talks a lot about ‘providing value’ in her e-book. And this is 100 percent right because if you REALLY WANT to no longer chase after people but instead to start attracting them and build a prosperous home based network marketing business (the same goes for any work from home business) the thing to do is to add value: give your prospects useful information, advice and facts and go beyond everyone’s expectations.

You need them but they don’t need you! Without the steady support of prospects, your every effort can come quickly tumbling down and your network marketing business will not succeed for very long. Adding value vs. Selling - Adding value means being inventive and generous in giving your prospects what they want; selling is convincing them to buy what you have available.

‘New’ Attraction Network Marketing model lets you to adopt a style of relating that keeps YOU feeling positive (no anxiety, never-ending cold calls, rejections etc.). You start adding value to others just for the joy it gives to you. In fact - the joy you experience from value adding mindset is what will make you even more attractive.

Become irresistibly ATTRACTIVE yourself - start BRANDING yourself:

1. Find out what your target market places a high value on. Take some time to discover what do others define as value? It will sensitize you to what matters to them. This will also help to evolve you; you will feel more fulfilled and happy.

2. Discover what brings you joy. And do it. I love to share my knowledge and insights with other network marketers and others small business owners and this brings me joy at virtually no cost to myself. What brings joy to you?

3. Start your blog, write and submit articles, set up Web page; use social media channels (ones like Facebook or YouTube). Just find ways to transmit what you have or know without or a little cost to yourself.

4. Stop pushing, convincing, selling and enrolling - and you become more attractive at once. Your approach will be much more relaxed and you will experience joy. ..and right - this will make you even more attractive!

The irony what I have learned is that using network marketing business traditional methods most of times we are not even able to add the value to our prospects because they consider us as one more sales rep who ’steals’ the valuable time and have only one thought in the mind- to sell more and harder.

Thanks to Ann Sieg’s e-book The Renegade Network Marketer the approach is changing. When you give advice and facts what are genuinely useful you become a source of value, Solution provider and a Leader.

When you shift your focus from selling more and harder to adding more value you attract qualified prospects and build relationships with them over time while you do so for no cost of money and time for yourself.

Giving and sharing not only feels good, it helps you literally explode your work at home network marketing business.

Internet in Network Marketing: How Network Marketing Moms Can Use Internet in Their Business

Network Marketing is a relationship business, a business of people who like helping other people (like Robert Kiyosaki states). With the advances of technology, we would be staying behind if don’t take advantage of it in building our business. Calling leads you buy online, sending emails or giving web seminars are some of the things you can do online. But; how is it possible to build a Network Marketing business using Internet? This article approaches these two questions keeping Network Marketing Moms in mind.

The boom of Network Marketing was based in face to face meetings, whether at home or in Hotels. As the technology advances, we are able to have prospects all over the world and what started only in your backyard can grow exponentially. When you are using Internet in Network Marketing to build a business, you are taking advantage of a very important aspect of the world wide web: its capacity to distribute information.

When you meet a new prospect you always have to be interested in her first. There is a very popular phrase: people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. In Internet you show that you care by giving valuable and useful information. As Network Marketing Moms we have many stories to tell and many tips we have learned (from mistakes, maybe?). How many times have you called someone with background noise like crying babies or barking dogs? Did your toddler wake up from his nap in the middle of a facial? What did you do? What have you learned about time management from working outside the house, tend the children and build a business on top of that? What do you know about distractions that you can’t “shut down” (a.k.a., children!)? You can share all of that and more.

There are people actively looking for what you have. Not only nice amenities but something they can learn to implement in their business that can help it grow. When you offer value, you position yourself as a leader and a mentor many people will want to follow. Yes, you can build a Network Marketing business online. It’s a different way to interact but not for that less effective.

What Most Successful Network Marketers Will not Tell You

You know have you ever been in network marketing before? Many of you have no doubt. Well, perhaps you will relate to my story. Before I tell my story my name is Jonathon I am a business marketing consultant. I have been associated with network marketing for 7 years now. I have seen many companies come & go. Many had many different marketing plans some of which were great as well as some that were not quite as good. There is a lot of confusion out there as to how to be successful at network marketing. Some of it works & some of it does not. When I first started in network marketing do you relate to this? Go to meetings, recruit, recruit, recruit, harass your family, friends, and anyone who breathes on two legs is a prospect, if you’re not talking you’re not selling, put on meetings in your home. Do any of these things sound familiar to you?…. I did many of these things that were mentioned. We got a few people signed up; however, we could have done better. How about you? Did these ways of doing your business work for you? The problem with this old school network marketing model is it just doesn’t work anymore. It is outdated & is totally ineffective. The other problem is when new people get started in this industry many of them do not have what it takes; they do not have the intentions of becoming the network marketing professional they need to be. They also are not aware what it takes to succeed in the business world and are not prepared for that kind of information. What other problem is there in this industry? The other problem is the focus is in the wrong place. The network marketing company is focused on the product or the compensation plan. Is this really going to prove to be an effective way to bring new people in the business as a whole? The is no’. People don’t care about that. Great products are dime a dozen and so are business opportunities. It is great salesmanship and great marketing, that is hard to come by. Nothing Else In Business Matters If Good Sales & Marketing Are Not Being Used When I shifted my focus from product to sales & marketing everything changed. Things started to really click and shift my business into overdrive. The wealthiest people in the network marketing field have all got this one thing in common. They know how to sell. Themselves. Their product…Their ideas….their services. There is a problem that can’t be ignored… I have discovered there are great deal of lies and falsehoods, myths, misconceptions out there that are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. As I mentioned at the beginning. Selling has become a dirty word in network marketing . This is because it has as many misconceptions as how network marketing is done. This is why it is also usually ineffective. What do you think good selling is? Selling is the exchange of goods or services where money exchanges hands. What is wrong with the old model? Well, often times it is too confrontational. The other reason for this is it oftentimes ignores the prospect true wants or needs. What other problems do you think it creates? The next problem is you are forcing a product on the prospect whether they like it or not, and this inevitably is going to result in resistance every step of the process. Then some may also approach it like an argument. Who usually wins an argument? No one! This is not good sales! Some network marketers believe that rejection is normal & should be accepted. Here are some questions for you to think about….Do you really believe this to be true? What if rejection wasn’t even a factor? What about marketing? What if marketing is combined with sales? What is marketing anyway?…There is a lot of confusion about what it is and how it is to be done. I’m sure you have heard the saying before “no one likes to be sold but everyone loves to buy” I am sure like most people you have never been given a logical meaning of what that really meant. Well the difference lies in whose decision it is… When You Are Trying To Sell Something To Someone It Is Your Decision Forced On Them. When Someone Wants To Buy Something IT Is Their Decision. So if everyone loves to buy, which the key to making your job easier (and more profitable), doesn’t it make sense to focus on helping people buy what they want then trying to sell them stuff that they don’t? This is exactly what marketing is. I like to think of marketing as creating a situation where they can buy on their own. Good marketing is about tapping into needs that already exist. If you’re not doing that nothing else matters… So that may prompt you to ask another question…So the next question is..what is an effective way to market your network marketing business? Your own marketing system. Your marketing system can plant seeds (your prospects) for you. Then what’s next? Then you use one- to-one sales to close them. That way you get more done in less time with less effort. To piece it all together to complete the puzzle. The objective of your marketing is to bring in qualified prospects. The main goal of the sales process is to close the deal & build a relationship with the best ones. After all that is the master plan that every network marketer should have whether they realize it or not.

Use the Internet to Build a Network Marketing Downline by Attracting People to You

Using the internet to attract people and build a downline reminds me of when I was first starting my Network Marketing business.

I decided creating an online presence was the way to go so I started a website. I didn’t have much help but this seemed like the way to go. It had been a couple of months and my website was getting very little traffic - maybe 10 or 15 people a day visiting, but no contacts were made.

One evening I decided to check my website stats. When I logged in, there had been over 300 contacts made. I KNEW it had to be an error. No way I had that many. I had been getting pretty discouraged at this point and even 3 contacts would have seemed like a miracle. I restarted my computer to clear the ‘bug’ and get the real stats. But when I logged back in there were over 400 contacts and growing. Long story short, I got over 5000 contacts that week.

I have been a true believer in the power of the internet and its ability to get people ever since.

Internet Attraction Marketing does work to attract people; People who are interested in what you have to offer. Both your expertise and knowledge.

By reading this article you will be able to advance your network marketing business, start creating a downline and make some money. The internet opens up a huge opportunity to network and get people looking for you. With sites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Squidoo, you can get your name known and get people to contact you. You become the expert with a “how to” plan and people want to sign up under you. Attracting people to you and your online plan lets you recruit more downlines and teach them how to do the same.

Anyone interested in building a successful network marketing business needs to create a downline. A downline allows you to start leveraging time and is the true power of the network marketing model. But getting the downline has always been the hardest part of an MLM business. The main reason was the approach that was being taken. New network marketers were “selling” their opportunity to everyone they knew or came within arm’s length of.

Imagine you are eating dinner and the phone rings. It’s a telemarketer looking to sign you up for that “once in a lifetime deal”. What do you think your reaction is going to be? Do you think the sale was made?

Now imagine you decided that you needed something so you “googled” it and when you found what you wanted you picked up the phone. Do you think that guy made a sale? This is the new way to build a downline. Get people coming to you. You are the expert and they want what you have.

Now creating a downline takes time. And while it is where the long term residual income is made, you have to make money now if you are going to be able to keep doing this business. The good news is there are LOTS of ways to create money while you are building your network marketing business.

Part of the process of attracting people to you is helping them. Become a source of information and like any other business you can charge for that info. You can also get paid by other companies when you recommend a product and people you recommend make a purchase. This is known as being an affiliate marketer. I know there are lots of different tools I use and trainings that have helped me. So making recommendations is not a hard thing to do.

Attracting people, building a downline and monetizing are all made so much easier since the internet showed up. The internet lets people find you and your opportunity. The work I do today and put out there can be found 24/7 and it is working for me today, tomorrow and many months or even years from now.

It’s an AMAZING tool that lets you reach out. Be the person you want to be and attract people to YOU; People that are looking for what you have to offer. In the network marketing biz, people join you - not your company. The internet lets you reach out to literally millions of people.

A new and amazing (and free) way to take advantage of all the internet has to offer are social networking sites. Places like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Squidoo and other social networking sites have thrust the internet to the pinnacle of all networking tools. Start interacting with millions of people and create a system that allows you to collect the names of others interested in what you have to offer.

Facebook is quickly becoming one of the top internet sites. Over 1/3 of all people who logon to the internet visit Facebook. As a member of Facebook you can create a profile and share yourself. You network and become ‘friends’ with other likeminded people. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with others. Members can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. It’s a great way to get to know people and develop a level of trust. With friendship comes the possibility of business followers and an expanded downline.

Twitter is similar, but with Twitter you are giving anyone that follows you up to a 140 character blurb about what you are doing. Again, becoming an expert and helping people will attract them to you and as you build trust by sharing useful and helpful information people will become friends, followers, and possibly a good fit for your downline.

YouTube is a horse of a different color. It is a great place to share yourself and what you know. But You Tube is all about Video. Video is becoming very popular and a great way for people to really see who you are. Creating a video can be a little scary but can actually be quite easy. You don’t need any fancy equipment or studio, just a desire and a message.

Squidoo allows you to make a lens. This is really just a webpage. Squidoo is like Youtube in that you can create content that is intended to help people and create interest in you and/or your product. The big difference is with a Squidoo Lens you are getting your message out using the written word.

Facebook and Twitter are great ways to network and make new friends. YouTube and Squidoo let you get content on the web to attract people. These are just 4 ways among many that can be used to get yourself out there and start attracting people to you. Try them all and pick the ones that fit your skills and interests and you are on your way to building a great downline.

By simply sharing what you know and helping people you can become the expert that attracts and not the sleazy salesman who chases people down. By becoming an expert in any one or more aspects of building your business or working online you become someone people want to follow. Everyday more and more people are joining the ranks of the Network Marketing biz and they are looking for someone to help them realize their dreams. Just be there to help.

It doesn’t take a lot, just focus on learning something new that would help you build your business. If it helps you it will help others. Once learned, the skill becomes an asset and makes you an expert. Soon the student becomes the master.

When starting something new take the time to focus. Go through the stages of orientation, understanding, putting into practice and finally completion. Don’t jump around from one thing to another before you have fully understood the first. Creating a daily, weekly and even monthly action plan can keep you on track to learning new skills that can then be used to attract your downline. Pass along your plan that you have followed and create a “how to” for your new downline.

Having a plan and a way to get from newbie to experienced Network Marketer makes you the leader that people want to follow.

So find the leader that has the plan to get you going and along the way pick out the parts that fit your style. Turn it all around and become the teacher building your own downline. It is as simple as paying it forward.

So don’t be scared to take the plunge on your new journey. Learn then teach. Focus on learning something new that builds your business and then share it with the world. Use the power of the internet and free social marketing to attract your Network Marketing downline. Along the way use your knowledge to create an income from your marketing techniques. Stay focused and you too can build a downline and a business you can be proud of.

Network Marketing Income- Generating Your Prospects 4 Different Ways

Money. We all start a home business to create that extra cash flow that is going to lead us to our dreams and goals. There are several ways to get prospects to increase your network marketing income. Which are you using and are you open to other ideas? Below are 4 of the ways to gain prospects for your opportunity.

1) Traditional Networking.

While some say this is dead in the water others would not build their networking business any other way. Traditional networking includes things such as talking to your circle of influence and the “three foot rule”.

Your circle of influence- the list of 200 people you know.

Newer network marketers look down on this way of building your business as the phrase “NFL club” or “No Friends Left” club echo in their mind, paralyzing them to speak with the people they know. What many marketers don’t realize is that you are not really looking to recruit these people into your business but you are looking for the people that they know, and the people that they know- networking in the true sense of the word.

Talking to people that know you intimately assists you in honing your question answering skills, lets you work on work presentation, and ultimately builds your business and therefore your network marketing income.

At several Dani Johnson seminars that I attended she asked everyone in the room who had made a list to stand up- several hundred did. She then asked those who had contacted every person on that list to stay standing- about half of the people sat down. Next came who had made money from contacting their whole list- EVERY person remained standing. Finally, who had made six figures in the last 12 months- over 50% of these people stayed standing. This was an exercise that really opened your mind to the possibilities if you just got over your hang ups.

The three foot rule.

Again, newer network marketers tend to frown on the three foot rule as they prefer to let the prospects come to them. But for every person who thinks it doesn’t work there is someone who is making money using this method.

The three foot rule is where you are constantly on the look out for people to prospect. Whether it be in the grocery store, in line at the movies, or sitting next to someone on the plane, you are finding ways to draw the person closest to you into a conversation to see if they have a desire to create an extra income for themselves.

This is a difficult skill to really hone as you must be really on your prospecting game. A major part of the reason that so many people shy away from doing this is because they do not have the right people teaching them. They approach people and put their networking marketing business first, instead connecting with the person and finding out thier hot buttons and needs.

2) Lead generation companies

The second way of creating your network marketing income is through purchasing leads. Many people decide to do this as a way of talking to people who have shown an interest in having their own at home business.

When you purchase leads you can get many different types of leads at lots of different prices from $.10 per lead all the way up to $25.00 a lead. The difference depends on how qualified you want your prospect to be and whether you want your lead to be exclusive to you or not.

Usually you will get information such as name, phone number, email address and additionally may find out a little bit about how much prospects want to spend to start their business and how much network marketing income they would like to make per month.

Proponents of purchasing leads like the fact that they can have an immediate supply of leads to call at any given time without any extra effort of advertising. By having the phone number and email address you can not only call them but also can put them into your auto-responder to stay connected with them over time.

The downside to using lead generation companies is that it can become costly- especially in the beginning when working on your prospecting skills. You also have to be aware of the fact that although people may have requested information they are not always really looking for a home business. You can get go through a lot of people before you really find ones who are not tire kickers.

3) Using a Lead capture Page

Many successful marketers really promote using a lead capture page to create prospects for the following reasons:

-lead exclusivity-interest in your business is peaked-better chance of name recognition-list building

Lead exclusivity is just as it sounds- being the only one to have that lead. When purchasing leads, unless you are paying top dollar, most of the time you are sharing the lead with several other people. This means that just as you are contacting them other people are too. Many people don’t like the competition of this and would rather use the lead capture page knowing that when a prospect fills out their information they are the only people receiving it.

As your squeeze page is directly related to you and your business, when someone opts in to your information you know that you have a higher chance of conversion as they have shown a desire to have more information about that specific business or product that you are promoting.

Building up a connection and trust is key to making sales and increasing your network marketing income. When a person requests your information they have already seen your name and starting that trust process. Once you begin connecting with them whether it be via email or phone your name will click and make the next step in your sales presentation that much easier.

As many career network marketers know having your own list is very important. Countless times stories are shared about losing databases of 1000’s of names when companies shut down or when changing to a new company. By having your own list you are in control of those names and they belong to you. Lists can become huge and therefore great sources of additional income from affiliate products, new product releases from your company, and good ways to also distribute information- just make sure you are following all SPAM laws.

In addition, in using a lead capture page you can actually make money on generating your leads instead of spending money through a funded proposal. This is very attractive to those with a smaller advertising budget.

4) Blogging and Social Networking.

Blogging social networking have become a huge source of gathering prospects over the past few years and you are able to make the most use out of attraction marketing principals in this venue.

Blogging itself has become a preferred way of sharing information, getting your thoughts and ideas out, teaching what you know, and creating a brand yourself. You can do searches for almost any topic out there and find countless blogs about that topic. For someone who has the motivation and persistence to persevere in the blogging world, you can create not only an increased prospect base to raise your network marketing income, but also set yourself up to be an authority in the industry.

Different social networking sites are popping up all of the time and are a very inexpensive way of advertising and finding new prospects. But don’t just jump on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, BetterNetworker or any other social networking site out there and start pitching your business. If you do, you will get a response opposite your desired one.

One of the best ways to learn the ins and outs of a specific site is to join, observe, participate with comments, share your knowledge, and then if the situation arises and you are asked, talk about your opportunity. Most sites and forums will have specific policies about business, product, and affiliate promotions and will stick to them.

Some network marketers prefer this form of generating prospects because generally in this situation the prospects are able to observe you, your site, knowledge, and authority and then they are the ones contacting you for more information about your business. There is a lot less one-on-one legwork with this method as each post you write and each site you participate in has the possibility of being seen by thousands of people. If the information is strong enough you will attract the strongest prospects to you and increase you network marketing income.

Increasing your Network Marketing Income.

No matter which way you choose to go, your overall goal is to increase the dollars that are coming in to your business. Not every person is meant to do every one of the ways listed above. If you are going to be an effective network marketer one of your biggest obstacles is going to be choosing the prospecting method that works the best for you and the one that is going to increase your network marketing income the fastest.
